Kathmandu - The health condition of a pregnant woman in Rukum West has become critical.
The condition of 27-year-old Karishma Pun of Triveni Rural Municipality-2, Panigaira is critical. After the road was closed due to landslides caused by the rain, while going to the health institution on foot, the child was born on the road and his health condition became serious due to bleeding.
Kaushila Pun, her mother-in-law, informed that she left home at 6 am to reach the health institution, but Karishma gave birth on the way. Karisma had been in labor since the evening of Hijri.
"Not even a stretcher was found in the village to carry the patient. The child was born when she reached the village after walking for two hours," Kausheela said, "Karisma is bleeding continuously." He said that the locals are looking for a stretcher but it is difficult to reach the health post.
The road has been blocked for two weeks due to the landslide on the Rughan-Simrtu road section. Locals are suffering because there is no effort to open this road section.
