At the same time, a proposal has been made to change the name of the world-famous 'Taj Mahal'. Agar Nagam Corporation has brought a proposal to change the name of Taj Mahal. In the council, it has been proposed to name the Taj Mahal as 'Tejo Mahalaya'. The name will be changed if passed by the Council and approved by the Yogi Cabinet.
However, since this is an archaeological protected monument, the central government should also decide to change its name. The proposal to change the name has also come at a time when the dispute over the existence of Shiva's temple in the Taj Mahal is being raised.
In the last four years, 80 roads have been renamed in Agar. According to that, there is also a voice to change the name of Taj Mahal. Hindu associations/organizations have been raising such a voice saying that there are facts connected with Hindu civilization in Taj Mahal. They have also been demanding to worship there.
Agra Mayor Naveen Jain told the media that the name of Taj Mahal will be discussed in the council meeting.
