Kathmandu - The death in the earthquake in China has reached 46. A 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit southwest China and some others were injured.

In addition to the disconnection of communications, the earthquake caused landslides in the mountains. Last week, nearly 21 million people in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, were ordered to stay at home due to the Covid-19 restrictions.

The China Earthquake Network Center reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was Luding, a remote mountainous area 226 kilometers southwest of Chengdu. According to state media CCTV, 17 people died in the city of Yan and 29 people in the neighboring province of Ganji due to the earthquake.

After the earthquake, 16 people are missing and 50 people are injured. The injured are being treated.
